Quantity Surveyor - Costing and Estimation (Pre-Contract)

Requirements
- NVQ Level 05 / NCT / HND / BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
- Strong knowledge of pre-contract costing, tendering, and BOQ preparation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and cost estimation software
- Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala (written & spoken)
- Prior experience in construction or fire safety projects is an advantage
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
- Fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare pre-contract cost estimates and feasibility studies for fire safety projects.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to produce accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Develop rate breakdowns and pricing strategies aligned with industry standards.
- Assist in tender preparation, evaluation, and submission processes.
- Liaise with design, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure cost efficiency.
- Provide value engineering input to optimize project budgets without compromising safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for pre-contract activities.
- Attend Meetings and Visits Sites/ Locations Whenever Needed.
- Coordinate with Clients, Consultants, Contractors, Sales and Marketing Teams.
