Assistant Factory Manager- Production

Location- Mahiyanganaya Factory

We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for pursuing a career in the apparel industry. The ideal candidate should be an energetic, team player with excellent communication, a proactive attitude, and the ability to be self-motivated and work independently to achieve tight deadlines.

Job Role

  • Plan, implement, and control production schedules to meet delivery timelines and quality standards.
  • Review and optimize capacity utilization, including manpower, materials, and machinery.
  • Manage and rationalize the employee carder in alignment with production demands.
  • Ensure effective line balancing through methodical studies and implementation.
  • Apply appropriate tools and techniques to minimize waste and enhance productivity across all operations.
  • Lead initiatives for upskilling and maintaining a competent and skilled production workforce.
  • Foster and maintain a healthy and collaborative working environment at all employee levels.
  • Collaborate with all operational teams to consistently achieve set KPIs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor SOPs to achieve operational excellence.

Individual Profile

  • Diploma/Degree in Production, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in the apparel manufacturing industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Capable of making sound, data-driven decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
  • Maintain strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
