Engineering Manager

You will be responsible for

  • Lead and Mentor: Guide a team of engineers through project planning, execution, and delivery while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning in GPV Lanka.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee day-to-day engineering activities, RFQs, engineering projects, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and best practices are consistently met.
  • Technical Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to define the technical roadmap, identify architectural improvements, and support long-term scaling.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with customers, customer R&D teams, production engineers, product managers, designers, QA, and other departments to align technical efforts with business goals.
  • Hiring & Growth: Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training to build a high-performing team and encourage professional development.
  • Performance Management: Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews to support team excellence.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance development workflows, code quality, and release cycles.

Your prime function will be

The Engineering Manager is a leading cross-functional engineering position in GPV Lanka. He / She must leverage deep expertise in product manufacturing process development, process optimization, process automation and team leadership to drive innovation, improve manufacturing efficiency, and ensure delivery of high-quality electronic products. Committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration, while aligning engineering strategies with overall business goals of GPV Group & GPV Lanka and meet customer satisfaction with business growth.

Qualifications needed for the role

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electronic engineering or a related field for electronic manufacturing.
  • 3-10+ years of engineering experience, with strong technical proficiency in a relevant field.
  • 2-5+ years of leadership experience, managing teams or technical projects.
  • Proficiency in relevant CAD Tools, programming languages, ATEs, tools, or engineering software used for manufacturing process developments and automation.
  • Understanding of system architecture, design principles, and scalable solutions.
