Responsibilities & Skills
- Should possess thorough knowledge in Industrial Engineering (IE), overall production processes, productivity, cost analysis, work place engineering, work simplifying methods & time study techniques, line balancing improvement methods, machinery and their respective features.
- Would be responsible to cost-effectively manage & monitor affluences in the Industrial Engineering (IE) department, including setting-up KPI targets, manpower management, liaising with the production team and relevant departments to solve any issues by suggesting improvements to achieve company targets.
- Should be able to identify low performing operations & suggest efficiency, productivity & performance enhancement methods, by incorporating Lean, Six Sigma and IE techniques.
- Should be able to extend technical expertise by coordinating with the relevant departments, to ensure the required material, methods, skilled manpower, SMVs, line layout (work distribution plans), machines and any other requirements related to achieving optimal performance.
- Should be a team player possessing strong leadership, decision making, analytical, interpersonal, mentoring, time management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a challenging and fast-paced work environment in a proactive manner, maintaining a positive attitude.
- Should be a dynamic individual who could work with various cross-functional teams & possess excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree / Diploma or an equivalent professional qualification in Engineering / Manufacturing / Mathematics / Physical Science / Industrial Engineering from an accredited university / professional institution.
- Minimum 08 - 10 years’ relevant work experience in an Apparel manufacturing environment.
