South Asia Gateway Terminals (SAGT) is a globally recognized, award winning, public private partnership container terminal in Sri Lanka, that commenced operations in 1999, launching the Port of Colombo as global trade's pre-eminent gateway hub to South Asia. Today, the terminal is one of three operators in the Port of Colombo and continues to offer the international container shipping community, a competitive best in class service as a Global Container Terminal.

EXECUTIVE – OPERATIONS (PLANNING)

Ideal candidate should have;

  • A degree (relevant) from a recognized University/Campus with one (01) year working experience in Operations Team,
  • OR G. C. E. (A/L) Examination (Mathematics or Science streams preferred) with minimum three (03) Simple Passes for core subjects in not more than two (02) sittings with three (03) years working experience in Operations Team,
  • OR Passed G. C. E. (O/L) Examination, in all core subjects including Mathematics and English with minimum three (03) credit passes in not more than two sittings and relevant Professional Qualification from a recognized University/Institute with five years (05) experience in Operations team,

With

  • A sound knowledge of ship & yard operations, terminal procedures, terminal operating system and computer systems.
  • The ability to adjust to changing business expectations and strategies.
  • The competence in critical analysis, problem solving and customer service.
  • Effective planning and organizing skills.
  • Leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication in both oral and written in English with a good command.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations at all levels.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a demanding environment.
  • To be a self-motivator.
