Britol holds home to many interior and exterior cleaning products that range from vehicles, utility, furniture, household, kitchen, laundry, personal hygiene products and sanitizers to the market. AREA SALES MANAGER

(Colombo, Down South, Uva, Central, East)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Management of distributors in the assigned area, with respect to infrastructure, process, and overall operations to ensure smooth operation, while ensuring agreed ROI and distribution objectives
  • Develop and train the sales representatives and Merchandisers (L & D Activities & on the Job Training)
  • Carry out strategies formulated by the company
  • Achieve primary and RD revenue in assigned area
  • Drive team to achieve SKU plan with profitable product mix
  • Base increment and achieve given PC targets
  • Work with management team for new demarcations and new business opportunities
  • RTM customer development and collection follow-up
  • Lead the sales team and responsible for L & D Activities

Key Tasks :

  • Identify competitor activities and trends and provide inputs to management
  • Identify opportunities and develop a business plan by territories
  • Align distributor business plan with company strategies
  • Identify resources and infrastructure gaps and correcting them as per schedule
  • Monitor implementation of business plan, volume, value, growth, infrastructure and resources
  • Review performance against target of resources. Recommend capability development initiatives through coaching, sharing best practices
  • Monitor customer for achievement of target and maintenance of agreed ROI and suggest alternatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers in the area
  • Analyze category / brand / SKU performance and prepare customer specific sales plan to achieve company objectives
  • Identify, plan and implement actions to assist in performance improvement of team through; coaching, guidance, delegation, recommendation to training, projects etc.

Skills and Experience :

  • Diploma preferably in sales & marketing
  • Must have prior distributor / customer management experience
  • Proven track record of delivery topline and bottom-line results
  • Proven track record of managing multiple stakeholders and delivering operational excellence
  • Must have relevant technical knowledge, communication and presentation skills, problem solving skills and crisis management skills
  • Fluent in English language would be an added advantage
  • Experience within the Cleaning, Hygienic or detergent products category would be an added advantage
