Senior Marketing Manager - Job Description

Terias IT and Business Consulting is based in Canary Wharf, London, and Colombo, Sri Lanka. We have over 15 years of industry experience working with organisations of different sizes, business areas, and industries. Our global customer base extends across areas such as Agriculture, Pharmaceuticals, Finance, Fitness, Design & Marketing Agencies, Automotive, Charities, Hospitality, and Software Houses.

Core Accountabilities

1. Marketing Strategy Development & Execution

What this means in practice: You will be accountable for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with business objectives. This includes defining clear goals (both leading and lagging), identifying target audiences, selecting appropriate channels, and establishing metrics to measure success. You will ensure the strategy focuses on what buyers want from our company, not just what we do.

2. Marketing Outreach & Management

What this means in practice: You will be accountable for designing, building, and executing marketing campaigns that enable effective content creation, distribution, and promotion. This includes managing the marketing team, establishing workflows, and implementing processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

3. Customer Journey Mapping

What this means in practice: You will be accountable for mapping the complete buyer journey, from awareness to decision and loyalty. This includes developing personas for each stage, implementing tracking, and continuously refining approaches based on performance data. You will ensure all marketing activities address the fundamental questions: who we are, who we do, why we do it, how we do it, and why they should buy it.

4. Content Strategy & Production

What this means in practice: You will be accountable for developing and executing a content strategy that positions the company as a thought leader in our industry. This includes creating high-value content that resonates with our target audience, integrating content across multiple formats and channels, and ensuring consistent messaging and branding. You will focus on creating content that addresses customer challenges and demonstrates our expertise.

5. Marketing Performance Analysis & Optimization

What this means in practice: You will be accountable for establishing and monitoring key performance indicators, analyzing marketing data, and making data-driven decisions to continuously improve marketing effectiveness. This includes setting up proper tracking systems, conducting regular performance reviews, and implementing change based on insights gained. You will balance both short-term progress and long-term success.

Job Level Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and physical channels.
  • Manage marketing budget and resources effectively to maximize ROI.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry influencers.

Interview Process Information

  1. If you have been shortlisted for stage 1 interview, we will call you after 7:00 pm Sri Lankan time for a phone interview, which will last for 10 to 20 minutes, where we will assess your phone manners, spoken English, and motivations for applying for the role. These calls will be WhatsApp calls from a UK mobile number starting -44, and you can expect the calls from the 2nd of June 2025.
  2. 10 candidates who are successful and are selected for the stage 1 interview will be invited to stage 2 of the interview, which will be conducted after 7:00 pm Sri Lankan time from the 11th to 20th of June 2025.
  3. 5 candidates from the stage 1 interview will be progressed to the stage 2 interview. The stage 2 interviews will be conducted after 7:00 pm Sri Lankan time on the 30th of June 2025.
  4. 2 candidates from the stage 2 interview will be selected to progress to the final stage of the interview. The final stage interview will be in a larger format, and we will agree on interview dates and times with the successful candidates.
