Assistant Manager - Business Development

We are seeking young and energetic individuals for our reputed client company in the Maritime and Logistics sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new sales leads while nurturing existing client relationships
  • Build strong customer rapport through excellent service and regular engagement
  • Prepare quotations and customized solutions in collaboration with the HOD
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with active follow-ups on prospects
  • Support customer retention and growth through BTL marketing initiatives
  • Schedule and attend client meetings aligned with performance targets
  • Conduct market research to uncover new opportunities and customer segments
  • Represent the company at industry events and share insights internally
  • Collaborate with the HOD on new service offerings and sales strategies
  • Assist in the sales cycle by tracking account activity and support deal closures
  • Coordinate with the credit control to ensure timely collections
  • Clearly communicate client needs and pitch tailored logistics solutions
  • Maintain daily records of calls and client visits for transparency
  • Review and update the sales pipeline weekly to monitor progress

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, business management or professional qualification in SLIM / CIM
  • Minimum 5 years of overall experience with at least 3 years in the logistics sector
  • Exposure to 3PL operations is essential and warehouse experience will be an added advantage
  • Excellent proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel
