Assistant Manager - Business Development
We are seeking young and energetic individuals for our reputed client company in the Maritime and Logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new sales leads while nurturing existing client relationships
- Build strong customer rapport through excellent service and regular engagement
- Prepare quotations and customized solutions in collaboration with the HOD
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with active follow-ups on prospects
- Support customer retention and growth through BTL marketing initiatives
- Schedule and attend client meetings aligned with performance targets
- Conduct market research to uncover new opportunities and customer segments
- Represent the company at industry events and share insights internally
- Collaborate with the HOD on new service offerings and sales strategies
- Assist in the sales cycle by tracking account activity and support deal closures
- Coordinate with the credit control to ensure timely collections
- Clearly communicate client needs and pitch tailored logistics solutions
- Maintain daily records of calls and client visits for transparency
- Review and update the sales pipeline weekly to monitor progress
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, business management or professional qualification in SLIM / CIM
- Minimum 5 years of overall experience with at least 3 years in the logistics sector
- Exposure to 3PL operations is essential and warehouse experience will be an added advantage
- Excellent proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel
