OPERATIONS & SALES JUNIOR EXECUTIVE / EXECUTIVE

Lantern Trails is a premier experience-curating operator in Sri Lanka, specializing in crafting unique travel experiences for Destination Management Companies (DMCs). Our curated offerings span cultural, culinary, heritage, educational, environmental, urban exploration, outdoor, agricultural, community-based, and adventure experiences. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as an Operations & Sales Junior Executive / Executive to support daily operations and contribute to sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations and logistics – Oversee the execution of experiences, coordinate with suppliers and travel agents, and ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Update systems and handle documentation – Maintain booking records, update internal systems, issue vouchers and invoices, and track payments.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders – Communicate effectively with suppliers, travel agents, and experience hosts to manage bookings, special requests, and operational requirements.
  • Handle inquiries and itinerary planning – Respond to client inquiries, prepare costings, and assist in crafting customized itineraries.
  • Generate reports and analyze sales trends – Track bookings, monitor sales performance, and provide insights to optimize business strategies.
  • Support sales and marketing efforts – Join sales visits with the manager, maintain strong relationships with travel agents, and assist with social media promotions.

Candidate Profile

  • Education & Interest – A diploma/degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred, but school leavers with a passion for the travel industry are welcome.
  • Adaptability & Commitment – Willingness to work flexible hours, including late evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Organizational & Coordination Skills – Ability to handle bookings, update systems, issue vouchers/invoices, and manage supplier and travel agent communications efficiently.
  • Communication & Relationship Building – Strong interpersonal skills to handle client inquiries, maintain good connections with travel agents, and collaborate with team members.
  • Tech & Analytical Skills – Comfortable using Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and social media, with the ability to analyze sales trends and generate reports.
  • Attitude & Mindset – Open-minded, proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow in the tourism industry, even without prior experience.
