Grocery Trade Specialist

Job Profile
- Responsible for achieving sales targets by driving sell-in and sell-out volumes across assigned grocery outlets or territory.
- Ensure timely payment collection and responsible management of customer credit limits.
- Execute trade promotions, including price-offs, discounts, and promotional schemes, accurately to boost sales.
- Minimize product returns and damages through effective stock rotation and customer education.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with grocery store owners, supervisors, and purchasing staff.
- Ensure product availability by replenishing stock regularly, avoiding out-of-stock situations, & maintaining a full product range.
- Maintain clean, visible, and compliant displays to enhance product and brand visibility.
- Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing strategies, and customer preferences.
- Follow an optimized beat plan to ensure complete and efficient coverage of all assigned outlets.
- Submit accurate daily reports, including sales data, orders, and competitor activity, to the line manager.
- Ensure proper stock and invoice management, with all sales correctly documented and delivered.
- Comply with company pricing, discounting, and promotional policies at all times.
- Maintain thorough product knowledge, including features, pack sizes, pricing, and benefits.
- Act as the first point of contact for resolving basic retailer complaints before escalating issues when necessary.
Applicant Profile
- GCE A/L qualification in any stream with a minimum of two passes in main subjects.
- CIM/SLIM qualifications (fully or partly completed) will be considered an added advantage.
- A minimum of one (1) year of work experience in a similar capacity is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential.
- Must be a team player with a collaborative attitude.
