Looking for an all-rounder with experience tendering for Roads and Highways, Irrigation, Water Supply, Bridges, and Buildings is mandatory.

SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR - TENDERING

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tender Preparation:
    • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate tender submissions.
    • Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and material take-offs.
    • Liaise with engineers, architects, and suppliers to obtain competitive rates.
  • Cost Estimation:
    • Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, material, plant, and subcontractor elements.
    • Evaluate and manage risk elements in tenders.
  • Vendor/Subcontractor Coordination:
    • Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
    • Evaluate bids and negotiate prices and terms.
  • Documentation & Submission:
    • Compile and submit complete and compliant tender documents before deadlines.
    • Ensure that all tender documentation is accurate and aligned with client requirements.
  • Pre-Tender & Post-Tender Clarifications:
    • Attend tender clarification meetings.
    • Respond to pre-bid queries and provide necessary clarifications.
    • Market Analysis & Benchmarking: Keep updated with market trends, material prices, and competitor activities.
  • Tender Review:
    • Review tenders before submission for completeness and accuracy.
    • Participate in tender review meetings and tender board presentations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying.
  • Over 05 years of experience in quantity surveying with a focus on tendering/estimating.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., RICS, IQSSL) are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC, NEC, or local contract conditions is beneficial.

  • Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
