HR MANAGER

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with overall business goals.
  • Manage the full HR lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Oversee payroll, attendance systems, employee benefits, and HRIS management.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
  • Build a strong talent pipeline through proactive manpower planning and succession planning.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives to foster employee growth and skill enhancement.
  • Drive employee engagement, recognition, and wellness programs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to management on all HR matters.
  • Prepare HR reports, board papers, and presentations for senior management.
  • Handle disciplinary matters, grievances, and employee conflict resolution.
  • Support organizational change and culture-building initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation and employee records.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Chartered Qualification in HRM at CIPM or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
  • Associate Membership of CIPM will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Sri Lankan labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Creativity and an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
