FACTORY MANAGER
We are one of the leading tea export companies in Sri Lanka, renowned for our commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability in the tea industry. As part of our continued growth and operational excellence, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Factory Manager to lead our tea processing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily factory operations, ensuring efficient production and adherence to quality standards.
- Manage all aspects of tea processing from tea leaf intake to final packaging.
- Implement and monitor factory safety, hygiene, and maintenance protocols.
- Lead and supervise factory staff to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Coordinate with the tea department and other operational teams to manage inventory and raw material flow.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate production records and reporting for senior management.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–10 years of proven experience in tea factory operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Thorough knowledge of tea processing techniques and machinery.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Familiarity with ISO, HACCP, GMP, or other relevant quality and safety systems is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
