POST OF HR MANAGER
Ceylon Eco Spices (Pvt) Ltd is a leading exporter of premium Ceylon spices with a revenue exceeding US$ 25 Million per annum, head-office in Colombo and state-of-the-art facilities in Mahiyanganaya and Naula. The company exports to 30+ international destinations and serves 200+ reputed global customers, and also has value-added and retail products under its own brand. Ceylon Eco Spices holds Organic, Rainforest Alliance, BRCGS, ISO 22000, GMP, and HACCP Certifications. The company has also won multiple national export awards in the years 2022, 2023 & 2024.
We are a fast-growing Group looking for an HR Manager to join us and build a long-term career. The position is based at our factory located in Beligalla, Mahiyanganaya.
Role Overview:
As HR Manager, you will lead and manage all HR functions across our head office in Colombo and three factories in Mahiyanganaya and Naula. This role requires a hands-on professional with expertise in labour relations, employee engagement, and regulatory compliance. You will play a vital role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives and promoting a positive, compliant work culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of strategic and operational HR functions, including:
- Developing and implementing HR strategies that support the company’s long-term business goals, ensuring the workforce is equipped to meet both operational and commercial objectives.
- Designing and managing a structured recruitment process, including clear role definitions and talent acquisition strategies aligned with organizational needs.
- Implementing comprehensive induction and onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new employees into the company culture and workflows.
- Identifying critical roles and high-potential team members, and creating talent development and upskilling plans to strengthen leadership pipelines and improve employee retention.
- Introducing and managing a performance management system that recognizes initiative, results, and productivity while aligning with company values and promoting a healthy work-life balance.
- Working closely with senior management to lead organizational change initiatives that foster continuous improvement in team efficiency, collaboration, and overall productivity.
- Leading employee engagement and culture-building programs that reflect the company’s core values and promote a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive workplace.
- Overseeing all HR and administrative operations of the group (Head Office and multiple factory locations), including payroll, employee documentation, insurance, security, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a managerial HR role, preferably in manufacturing or a similar sector.
- Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan labour laws and industrial relations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly to factory sites.
