Key Responsibilities
- Contributing to the creation and implementation of best practices for quality vision, strategy, policies, and procedures to improve operational performance and maintain high cutting standards
- Evaluating and communicating the impact of new projects on production line continuity activities, ensuring alignment with cutting operations
- Implementing measures to ensure uninterrupted line continuity, minimizing disruptions in cutting activities and maintaining consistent productivity levels
- Utilizing statistical models to monitor and support the progress of cutting shop orders ensuring timely completion and efficient resource allocation
- Managing resources effectively, including fabrics, ribbons, and other items from the store, according to consumption guidelines and quality standards, minimizing wastage
- Maintaining high cutting quality standards by differentiating fabrics based on quality segregations, ensuring accuracy in lay sheet maintenance, numbering, bundling, and implementing controls to eliminate fabric wastage
- Establishing business processes in maintaining demand & supply planning systems
Person Specifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma or an equivalent professional qualification in Engineering/ Supply Chain/ Manufacturing/ Mathematics/ Physical Science/ Textile/ Clothing Technology from an accredited university/professional institution
- Minimum of 05 years’ experience in an Apparel Operations environment
- Certification in Pattern making and sound knowledge of cutting techniques/fabrications and pattern related shrinkage etc.
- Should have prior experience in Kanban and other lean manufacturing methods
- Strong IT skills and the use of computers with application software
- Should possess technical knowledge on cutting efficiency, SMV base calculations and fabric behaviors
- Should be a dynamic result-oriented individual who possesses excellent communication skills
- A flexible individual with strong multitasking skills with high integrity and uphold a strong sense of integrity and maintain credibility in their interactions with others
