Care Center for Independent Living
The Nation Forum of Women with Disabilities (NFWD) is a leading national-level network dedicated to advancing the rights, dignity, and well-being of women and girls with disabilities in Sri Lanka. As part of our commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive environments, we are establishing a dedicated Care Center for Independent Living in Rathmalana.
This centre is designed to provide a safe, respectful, and empowering space for persons with physical disabilities, with initial services offered to approximately five regular beneficiaries.
We are currently seeking a compassionate, organized, and responsible individual for the position of:
Centre Manager
- Location: No. 1, Lumbini Mawatha, Rathmalana
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Preference: Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
- Monthly Salary: LKR 50,000/-
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre to ensure its smooth and efficient functioning
- Ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all beneficiaries
- Coordinate and supervise caregivers, volunteers, and other support staff
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with NFWD policies
- Communicate and liaise with families, donors, healthcare professionals, and service providers
- Assist in the planning and implementation of daily activities that foster engagement and inclusion
Qualifications & Skills
- Prior experience in social care, disability support, healthcare, or community work is an advantage
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to promoting the rights of persons with disabilities
- Ability to work independently and manage a small team effectively
- Basic computer literacy and ability to prepare simple reports and documentation
