What you need to do
- Conduct daily market surveys and upload the required information to the relevant systems.
- Collaborate with regional markets and suppliers to establish and continuously evolve the item mix and seasonal product offerings.
- Take responsibility for the supply chain and leveraging costs to ensure consistent availability and pricing of all products.
- Integrate processes and systems to optimize accuracy, efficiency, inventory productivity, space utilization and profitability.
- Set and maintain product pricing in accordance with transfer price expectations.
- Take responsibility for daily/weekly cost management and implement relevant changes.
- Develop and execute promotional strategies.
- Partner with Cluster HR manager to address relevant concerns including aspects such as hiring, training, delegation, mentoring and job dialogues.
- Partner with the relevant agriculture department officials to facilitate the capacity building of farmers and sourcing pool expansions.
- Order splitting among suppliers based on field officer recommendations, product quality and order requirements.
- Oversee facility management services and maintenance activities.
- Build a relationship with farmers and suppliers by participating in farmer meetings to get the best quality and fresh goods as required.
- Renew trade licenses, scale licenses and fire equipment as well as the renewal license of company assets.
What we are looking for
- Should possess a Degree or Diploma in Agriculture or an equivalent Professional Qualification.
- Minimum 02 - 04 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
- Experience in logistics will be an added advantage.
- Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Knowledge regarding the internal and external environment of the industry.
