SOUS CHEF IN ROOM DINING
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef, In Room Dining to join Cinnamon Life City of Dreams, part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka’s largest hotel owner with a portfolio of 17 hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the In-Room Dining kitchen, ensuring timely and high-quality food delivery.
- Maintain exceptional food quality, portion control, and presentation standards at all times.
- Support menu execution, recipe compliance, and mise en place planning.
- Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen colleagues to ensure operational excellence.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Control food costs, minimize wastage, and assist in inventory management.
- Coordinate closely with service teams to ensure smooth and efficient service flow.
Knowledge and Skills
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of international cuisine and In-Room Dining operations.
- Proven leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Strong commitment to quality, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.
