Manager

The Showroom Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the entirety of showroom operations, ranging from inventory and warehouse management to team leadership and ensuring an exceptional retail experience. With strong leadership and sales acumen, the Showroom Manager will be vital in training new sales personnel, meeting sales targets, and driving the expansion of our retail presence, initially from our established showroom in Colombo to our upcoming outlet in Galle.

Influenced by 'Japandi' design culture and created by fourth-generation artisans, Cane Cult's a contemporary rattan factory. Our signature pieces are designed for collection. We are inspired to bring the elements of minimalist Scandinavian, rustic Japanese, and industrial South London to amalgamate into our statement pieces.

Responsibilities

Sales Excellence:

  • Drive sales by leveraging personal sales expertise and training the sales team to excel.
  • Organize regular sales training sessions for new and existing sales personnel to uphold the company's sales standards and techniques.
  • Monitor sales performance, set sales targets for the showroom team, and ensure the achievement of business objectives.

Inventory Management:

ODS.

  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to maintain an optimal inventory level, ensuring stock replenishment is timely and aligned with demand.
  • Implement and maintain an efficient inventory tracking, updating, and reporting system.
  • Stay attuned to fast-moving items and ensure their consistent availability for customers.
  • Monitor and manage retail payments, ensuring prompt collections and well-maintained records.
  • Warehouse Management:
  • Supervise the warehouse's organization and condition, ensuring products are stored in an orderly and safe manner.
  • Coordinate regular pest control measures to safeguard the quality of stored items.
  • Plan and oversee the operational readiness of additional warehouses as the business grows, particularly in line with the Galle expansion.

Team Leadership:

Manage the store, warehouse teams, and delivery partners, fostering an environment of optimal performance, team unity, and professional growth.

Regularly convene team meetings to align everyone with the company's vision, goals, and standards.

Retail Excellence:

  • Guarantee the showroom reflects the highest standards of presentation, service, and customer experience.
  • Maintain regular communication with the marketing and product teams to remain updated on promotions, new products, and other pertinent details.
  • Expansion and Growth:
  • Participate actively in the planning and execution of the Galle showroom launch, contributing to decisions on space design, hiring, and operations setup.

Continuously seek avenues to refine operations in preparation for scaling.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Deliver regular reports to the Assistant General Manager covering sales metrics, inventory statuses, team performance, and challenges encountered.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to make strategic decisions on inventory acquisition, sales strategies, and team management.
  • We are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in retail management, with a particular focus on the interiors of furniture industry.
  • Exceptional sales expertise and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrable leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication talents.
  • A proactive mindset, with the capability to anticipate business needs.
  • A dedication to the company's values, customer service excellence, and consistent sales growth.
