International Research Consultant
Colombo based - Full Time (initial 6mth contract)
Job Title: Consultant and Research Analyst who wants to help build a business. The position require will require a person with a growth mindset, someone who is comfortable with ambiguity and testing different approaches to achieve outcomes. In return, this position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the venture building and consulting fields.
You will be responsible for: Research into two broad markets with the objective of providing a small curated list of potential target / partner companies. (1) Emerging, innovative technology and services companies in the US and (2) Small, privately held companies in Australia (specific objectives and criteria to be provided to the successful candidate). Once the list is down-selected to curated targets, you will be responsible for researching details on the specific company and its industry.
The above will require:
- Research skills: Strong research skills (desktop and possibly phone)We will provide you with the criteria, but this will include data collection, Interpretation, collating and sorting.
• Computer skills: Proficiency in the use of search engines (Chrome, Safari, FireFox etc), Al research tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini etc), and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and / or other comparable software tools.
• Communication and recommendations: Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to synthesise information, make recommendations and articulate ideas clearly and concisely. This is likely to involve the development of summary presentation material.

success.
