Category Manager /Assistant (Purchasing)
Location- Avissawella / Kohuwala
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute strategic plans for product categories to drive sales and profitability
- Source and curate a diverse product assortment to meet customer needs and preferences.
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer feedback to optimize pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives.
- Manage inventory levels and stock replenishment to ensure product availability and minimize stock outs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure excellent product quality and service.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years' experience in a similar position and professional qualifications in Purchasing supplier chain, Material management or logistics management in recognized institute.
- Aged below 40 years with an outgoing personality and go-getter attitude.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in office software (such as Microsoft Office) and familiarity with office equipment and technology is typically required
- Should be innovative, dynamic and able to work on tight deadlines around the clock where your creativity will be challenged.
