Sous Chef

We are currently seeking Sous Chefs for our esteemed client company (a five-star hotel) based in Colombo.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Culinary or a similar field from a reputed institution is required
  • 3 to 4 years of proven work experience in a similar role within the hotel industry is mandatory
  • The capacity to create innovative dishes and menus, staying abreast of current culinary trends
  • Ensuring that every dish meets the establishment's quality standards before it reaches the customer
  • Ability to manage and train junior kitchen staff, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain high morale and productivity levels
  • Strong verbal communication skills to effectively coordinate with other kitchen staff and the front of the house
  • Ability to work cooperatively within the kitchen team and support other sections when necessary
  • Skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality
