ENGINEERING MECHANIC- WELDER
The mission of the engineering mechanic (Welder) is to "To perform all types of general fitting/Welding related activities in machine maintenance adhering to safety culture in the factory.
Responsibilities:
- Read and follow auto CAD drawings relating to welding.
- Perform periodic maintenance of machines and Power Transmission systems.
- Replacing damaged or defective structural components as needed.
- Comply with the company established safety guidelines while attending to any kind of work.
- Adhere to the Computerized Maintenance Management System, to ensure the sustainability of maintenance daily management.
- Initiate energy saving initiatives by applying the best practices to reduce the plant energy cost.
Competencies and knowledge:
Competencies and knowledge on Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems will be an added advantage.
Requirements:
- You have Passed G.C.E O/L
- You hold a NVQ Level 4 in General Fitting/welding or equivalent.
- You have 2 years' experience in relevant field.
- You have good communication (Sinhala and basic English) and interpersonal skills.
