Media Intern
LAUGFS Eco Sri Limited is a BOI venture that commenced its journey with an entrepreneurial vision to pioneer air quality management in Sri Lanka. The company facilitates the government-run mandatory Vehicle Emission Testing (VET) program through a network of 238 customer touch points including 96 fixed centers and 142 mobile locations covering all regions in the country.
Position Overview:
Join our esteemed company as a Media Intern for our dynamic radio channel. Assist in content creation, social media management, and market research. Gain valuable experience in media production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Assist in brainstorming, researching, and developing staff engaging content for radio shows, including segment ideas, interview questions, and scriptwriting.
- Production Assistance: Provide support during live broadcasts and pre-recorded segments, including operating audio equipment and ensuring smooth transitions between Vehicle Emission Centers and Head Office.
- Promotion and Marketing: Aid in the development and execution of promotional strategies to increase listener engagement and grow our audience base within Vehicle Emission Center. This may involve e-flyer designing and sending within the Vehicle Emission Centers and etc.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct market research (within Vehicle Emission Centers) analysis to identify trends, audience preferences, and opportunities for improvement.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with general administrative duties such as scheduling, organizing files, and responding to listener | Management request
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Media Studies, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Passion for radio broadcasting and a strong interest in media production.
- ⚫ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic audio editing software is a plus.
- Prior experience in radio, broadcasting, or media production is preferred but not required.
