Tokyo Cement Company (Lanka) PLC., a prestigious public quoted company with foreign collaboration and Sri Lanka's premier Cement Manufacturer and Ready-mix Concrete Supplier, requests applications from qualified persons for the following position.
Accountant - Head Office
Ready-Mix Concrete Operation
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, tax returns, and annual budgets.
- Monitor and maintain finance-related internal procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Liaise with external auditors, internal auditors, and the Inland Revenue Department as necessary.
- Utilize sound knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, internal controls, and business practices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Work effectively within an ERP accounting software and computerized business environment.
- Collaborate as a team player to handle internal and external tasks independently.
- Adaptability to meet the demands of a 24x7 operations environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Management from a recognized university.
- Full or strategic level qualification in professional exams (CA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Minimum of three (03) years of experience in an audit firm and two (02) years in a similar position.
- Fluency in English and Sinhala; proficiency in Tamil language is an added advantage. Age between 25 - 35 years.
