Purchasing Manager - Hotels
Sino Lanka Hotels Holdings is the principle holding company and one of the fastest growing companies in the hospitality industry. We are the franchise owners of one of the prominent international hospitality chains in Sri Lanka.
We are seeking an exceptional individual for the above role, and we invite applications from suitably qualified individuals for this post.
The ideal candidate would be:
- Responsible for the entire purchasing function of the hotel which includes materials & items of a capital nature - purchase items on a timely basis and at the optimum price.
- Conducting day-to-day purchasing functions such as processing PR & PO, calling for quotations, conducting market surveys, price comparisons, and delivery follow-ups.
- Able to independently deal with organizations such as Banks, Customs, BOI etc. in relation to procurement matters.
- Thoroughly aware of the market conditions and to be conversant with the competitive advantages in order to serve the interests of the hotels.
- Ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications. Maintain minimum stock levels as prescribed.
- Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
- Thoroughly conversant with the Importation Procedures and has experience in handling imports.
- Strictly adhere to statutes, external/internal rules, regulations, and standards.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity. Preferably in a star-class hotel or service industry.
- A Degree, preferably in Statistics or a Professional qualification in Material Management. Must be below 40 years.
- Dynamic and committed personality with an ability to work in a team environment.
Remuneration for the above position will be in accordance with the Sino Lanka Group compensation and benefits policy.
