VACANCY

QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) intends recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor for the development of facilities, training, managing and promoting cricket related activities throughout the island.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost analysis from the architectural, structural, MEP drawings, engineering estimates, material required, labour involved etc.
  • Prepare cost plans to enable design team to produce practical design for construction projects, which involves liaising with Architects, Engineers and Contractors
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including Bills of Quantities and Engineer's Estimates
  • Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and where appropriate, negotiate with the contractors
  • Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget an expenditure
  • Monitor and keep track of project progress and are responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract, for agreement of interim payments and the financial account

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying which is recognized by the UGC with IQSSL Graduate Membership
  • An Associate Membership / A similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional institution in the Quantity Surveying
  • Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not below than the National Vocational Qualification Level 7 issued by a Technical/Vocational Training Institution accepted by Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission for a post related to Quantity Surveying
  • At Least 03 years of post-qualifying experience in the required area of specialization HND/NCT/NVQ Level 5/Professional Level Examination from IQSSL or equivalent qualification in the Quantity Surveying with IQSSL Technical Membership
  • At Least 05 years of post-qualifying experience in the required area of specialization
  • Should have solid experience in Project Estimation, Tendering & Contract Administration in building related projects
  • Experience in Ground Construction Projects would be added advantage

  • Exceptional planning, coordination and organizational skills
  • High level interpersonal, written, verbal and communication and influencing skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to travel extensively
