GENERAL MANAGER - OPERATIONS

The Job:

As the General Manager of Auro Resorts Tangalle (Pvt) Ltd, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of resort operations to ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial performance.

With a passion for hospitality and a dedication to excellence, you will lead a team of talented professionals to deliver exceptional service and create memorable experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to all departments within the resort, including accommodation, food and beverage, recreation, spa, and guest services.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability among resort staff, ensuring that all employees are trained, motivated, and empowered to deliver exceptional service.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to uphold the resort's brand reputation and meet or exceed guest expectations.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, financial reports, and guest feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to achieve revenue targets, control costs, and maximize profitability.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, employees, suppliers, and local community stakeholders to enhance the resort's reputation and contribute to its long-term success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry, with a strong track record of success in resort management.
  • Sound financial acumen and proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards in the hospitality sector in Sri Lanka.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and exceed expectations.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation, creativity, and problem-solving.
