Berendina is a group of companies consisting of Berendina Micro Investments Company Limited (BMIC) the first licensed microfinance company (LMFC) regulated by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, under the Microfinance Act No 06 of 2016 and Berendina Development Services (Gte) Limited (BDS) a leading development organization committed towards alleviating poverty among vulnerable and marginalized communities of rural and plantation areas in Sri Lanka. Berendina group operate in 13 districts through a network of 38 branch offices.
Scope of work
- Be responsible for overall IT environment of the group which includes following specific areas.
- Manage the organization's hardware, network and communication infrastructure to ensure it is optimized and coordinate Group IT requirements, evaluate, review and implement solutions for cost-effective, secure and compliant infrastructure in line with continues technology advancements Monitor and coordinate with service providers on cloud infrastructure to ensure continuous support for critical business systems and plan and carry out maintenance, backups and disaster recovery exercises.
- Oversee the design process for infrastructure solutions, ensuring adherence to security and compliance protocols and standards.
- Formulate and implement appropriate IT DR strategy in line with industry standards and organizational goals.
- Ensure the smooth operation of services by developing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of a crisis.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Academic qualifications BSc/MSc IT
- Professional qualification in Project Management, Finance and Business would be an added advantage.
- Certification in IT related skills ITIL, CCNA, MCSE, Cloud technologies i.e AWS, Azure etc. would be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in the field of IT, out of that at least 3 years as a Head of IT.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Should be fluent in English & should have professional report writing skills. Fluency in both Sinhala & Tamil will be an added advantage
- Ability to work independently under minimum supervision.
- Age below 45 years.
