HR & Admin Officer

Micro Packaging Industries (Pvt) Ltd. (A BOI approved project) is a supplier/manufacturer of corrugated cartons since 1995 with a diverse and reliable customer portfolio.

The ideal candidate should be smart and outgoing personality with analytical skills with the following requirements:

Position Overview:

The HR & Admin officer will play a crucial role in managing the human resource function within our manufacturing facility at Ranala. This includes recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management and social audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Administration
  • Process the payroll of employees by collecting data such as deductions, etc.
  • EPF/ETF claim form handling
  • Maintain, update & provide daily, weekly, monthly and customized reports as per the requirement.

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract talent for various roles within the manufacturing facility.
  • Conduct interviews, reference checks, and coordinate new hire orientations to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as the point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns a positive workplace culture. Address and resolve employee issues, conflicts, and grievances in a timely and effective manner. Manage employee benefits programs and handle related inquiries.

Compliance and Record Keeping:

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations, and social audit requirements. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.

Administration:

  • Obtain vehicle renewal license and insurance, business License, Environmental license, etc.
  • Arranging Fire drill, First Aid training workshops.
  • Purchase of ink, adhesive, stationary items, etc.
  • Other administrative functions.

Qualifications:

  • Suitable qualification in personnel management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or Industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulation.
  • Excellent communication in Sinhala & English.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
