Customer Service Executive

01 ROLE OVERVIEW

Be the front line for PAYable merchants – answering inbound calls, supporting walk-in visitors at our Colombo office, and resolving tickets across digital channels. You'll own each conversation end-to-end, escalate technical issues to the right team, and keep our merchants confident in the platform that powers their business.

02 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle inbound and outbound merchant calls with a customer-first mindset.
  • Welcome and assist walk-in customers at the PAYable Colombo office.
  • Resolve merchant queries across phone, email, and ticketing channels.
  • Log every interaction accurately and follow up until each case is closed.
  • Escalate technical issues to the right internal team and track resolution.

03 QUALIFICATIONS & TOOLKIT

  • Minimum 1 year call centre experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Trilingual (Sinhala / Tamil / English)
  • Roster / Shift basis incl. weekends
  • Customer service mindset
  • Team player attitude
  • Basic IT skills
  • Knowledge of digital media & mobile apps

NICE TO HAVE

Prior experience in fintech, banking or payment-platform support. Exposure to CRM and ticketing tools (Zendesk, Freshdesk or similar). Additional language skills and a customer-success or hospitality background are a plus.
